iPhone Setup

Use an iPhone to install TestFlight and StoryClaw, sign in, connect to the device over Bluetooth, and configure WiFi.

1. Power on the device

1. Place the device where the WiFi signal is stable and keep the front accessible for operation.

   

2. Connect the power cable to the DCIN port on the rear of the device.

   

3. Press the front power button once and confirm that it shows a steady white light.

   

2. Open the iOS download page

1. Open Safari or the iPhone's built-in browser, visit https://storyclaw.com/download, and choose iOS on the StoryClaw App download page.

   

2. On the download page, tap the TestFlight entry and choose View in App Store.

   

3. Install and set up TestFlight

1. Get and install TestFlight from the App Store.

   

2. Tap Open after installation to enter TestFlight.

   

3. Complete the first-use screens in TestFlight. If an invitation-code screen appears, leave the code blank and tap Continue.

   

4. Allow wireless data when prompted. Notification permission is optional.

   

4. Install StoryClaw through TestFlight

1. Confirm that the App name shown in TestFlight is StoryClaw, then tap Continue.

   

2. Tap Install and wait for installation to finish.

   

3. Tap Open to enter StoryClaw after installation.

   

4. Allow network access when iOS requests it.

   

5. Sign in to StoryClaw

1. Enter an email address that can receive messages, then tap Continue with Email.

   

2. Find the verification email, enter the code in the App, and tap Verify and Login to enter StoryClaw.

   

6. Find and connect the device

1. Turn on iPhone Bluetooth and keep StoryClaw open in the foreground. Open Add Device via Bluetooth or the Bluetooth setup page, allow Bluetooth and local-network access when iOS requests it, then tap Scan Devices.

   

2. Select the StoryClaw device at your location and wait for the App to connect to its setup service.

   

7. Configure WiFi

1. Connect the iPhone to the WiFi network the device should use before setup when possible, then select the current WiFi in the App.

   

2. If the target network is not listed, enter the WiFi name manually. Enter the password, submit the setup information, and wait for the device to connect.

   

8. Confirm setup is complete

When Setup Complete appears, tap Done, return to the device list, and confirm the device is online. As long as the device stays powered on and connected, you can use it remotely through the StoryClaw App or the web console.

Troubleshooting

TestFlight cannot be downloaded or opened

Confirm that the iPhone is signed in with a working Apple ID and that App Store access is available, then revisit the StoryClaw App download page.

StoryClaw does not appear in TestFlight

Use only the official entry from the StoryClaw App download page. Reopen the invitation page instead of using a forwarded or unknown link.

Device not found

Confirm the steady white power light, turn on Bluetooth, keep the iPhone within 1 meter, and allow Bluetooth and local-network access.

WiFi setup failed

Check the WiFi name and password, confirm signal strength at the device location, and submit the setup information again without cutting power.

Change WiFi later

If you are not signed in to the StoryClaw App, sign in first. If you are already signed in, start from step 3.

1. Open the StoryClaw App, enter an email address that can receive messages, and tap Continue with email.

2. Get the verification code from your email, return to the App, enter the code, and tap Verify and sign in.

3. After signing in, open Devices and press and hold the device whose WiFi you want to change. When the action menu appears, tap Change Wi-Fi, then select the target WiFi and enter its password as prompted.

You do not need to reinstall TestFlight or StoryClaw, or bind the account again.
