Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about StoryClaw ClawBot, plus device and network troubleshooting.

About ClawBot

What is StoryClaw ClawBot?

ClawBot is a personal AI host that lives in your home. Unlike ChatGPT's back-and-forth format, it runs an AI staff team 24/7 that proactively handles content creation, financial tracking, and market analysis — with all processing staying on your device, never going to the cloud.

Do I need to keep my PC on? Can it work while I sleep?

Not at all. ClawBot runs fully autonomously — once you give it a directive, it continues working on its own even if you shut down your PC or disconnect your phone. Phones and computers can't keep executing tasks after the screen goes off, but ClawBot is built exactly for this: while you rest, it's scanning global markets for opportunities or automatically distributing your content. That's precisely what it was designed for.

Can multiple family members use it?

Yes. You can authorize family members to issue commands to the device together, while all core management permissions and data sovereignty remain firmly under your primary account. Family members get collaborative access — you remain the sole data controller of the device.

Does ClawBot require a subscription?

No. Buy the hardware once, and your AI team is on the job indefinitely. You pay only for the compute you actually use — no fixed monthly fees, no idle charges. Optional cloud credits are available if you need extra AI model access, but they're never required.

Is my data safe on ClawBot?

Yes. All AI computation runs locally — your trading strategies, documents, and personal data never leave the hardware. Private keys are locked in a physical encryption chip, audit logs are fully retained, and unplugging the device stops everything immediately. Your data sovereignty is absolute.

Device & Network

Cannot find the device during Bluetooth scan?

  1. Confirm the power button shows a steady white light;
  2. Turn on phone Bluetooth and keep the phone within 1 meter of the device;
  3. Allow Bluetooth, nearby-device, location, or local-network permissions when prompted;
  4. Stop scanning, restart phone Bluetooth, and scan again.

Stuck on connecting to the setup service?

Keep StoryClaw powered on, move the phone closer, and leave the App in the foreground. Turn phone Bluetooth off and on, then scan and select the device again.

WiFi setup failed?

Check the WiFi name and password, including capitalization, numbers, and special characters. Move StoryClaw to a location with a stable signal and send the setup information again without cutting power.

Moved or changed WiFi — how to reconfigure?

If you are not signed in to the StoryClaw App, sign in first. If you are already signed in, start from step 3.

  1. Open the StoryClaw App, enter an email address that can receive messages, and tap Continue with email.
  2. Get the verification code from your email, return to the App, enter the code, and tap Verify and sign in.
  3. After signing in, open Devices and press and hold the device whose WiFi you want to change.
  4. When the action menu appears, tap Change Wi-Fi, then select the target WiFi and enter its password as prompted.

You do not need to reinstall the App or bind the account again. See the Android or iPhone Bluetooth setup guide for detailed screenshots.

No "Add Device via Bluetooth" button?

This entry can be hidden when the current device is online. If the device is offline and the entry still does not appear, close and reopen the App, then confirm you are signed in with the account bound to the device.
